Yuen Ren Chao Prize for Peter Hagoort

The MPI is proud to announce that Prof. dr. Peter Hagoort will receive the Yuen Ren Chao Prize in Language Sciences. The prize is initiated and hosted by the Faculty of Humanities of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University to recognise distinguished contributions to language science research.
Peter Hagoort receives the Yuen Ren Chao Prize in Language Sciences for his contributions to the interdisciplinary studies in cognitive neuroscience and the understanding of human language processing in the brain.
The award committee expresses their ‘deepest congratulations to Prof. Hagoort for his exceptional contributions to this field. His work has significantly advanced the development of language sciences’.
This award will be accompanied by a public lecture on 10 May 2024 as part of the 2024 International Symposium of Language Sciences (ISLS).
